PEI Rape and Sexual assault is pleased to be able to offer this program that can assist men in their healing.

Phase One:a ten week program that is aimed at increasing knowledge of the impacts of abuse and expanding coping skills

Phase Two: after completing Phase One, men may choose to continue in this process oriented group that goes deeper into healing work.

Before participating in a group, we would like to meet with you to answer any questions you may have, and to determine if this is a good choices for you.  For questions about the program, or to make an appointment for an intake interview, call us at 902-566-1864.

Wait List
We currently have a wait list for counselling sessions addressing historical sexual abuse and/or past sexual assault. If you have experienced a sexual assault recently, however, you will not have to wait, and we will see you as soon as possible. The length of the wait list varies, and it is not possible to predict accurately how long the wait might be. We know it takes courage to ask for help, and it can feel discouraging to be asked to wait.

While waiting, we encourage anyone seeking more immediate support to check out other resources that might be available, such as an E.A.P. or personal benefit program.  Persons over age 16 can also meet with a community mental health counsellor with no appointment. Here is information about the walk in clinics:
Charlottetown - McGill Centre - Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 1 pm- 5 pm
Richmond Centre - Tuesdays and Thursdays 11 am  - 7 pm
Summerside, at the PCH - Monday and Wednesday 9 am - 5 pm

You can find details about support groups offered at Canadian Mental Health Association of PEI
